I feel so free when I am out in nature and I’m not sure if that’s because I am no longer tied to my daily tasks or because I am breathing fresh air instead of sitting at the office all day. Whatever the reason, I can fearlessly venture out and reach tall mountain peaks with my new compass.
A good compass has proven to be a very valuable tool for me to use. I can enjoy having it to point me in the right direction when I need a little bit of help finding my way. As someone who tends to not be able to tell where the path is, I really need a compass for some help and some confidence. I get lost easily even when I am doing easier hikes.
Making sure that I am heading in the right direction is a must. If I hike a long way in the wrong direction, it would take me a long time to get back where I’m supposed to be, plus you have to worry about having adequate sunlight left. I didn’t think that I needed a compass before, but the peace of mind it has given me has been so worth it. Hiking compasses should be in any outdoor enthusiast’s backpack.
